yes they were "free to do as they wanted" but for every action they took there are consequences for irresponsible actions, especially when they did not do what they said they would do......
or intentionally mislead shareholders..or drove shareholders into a position that was less advantageous

but in this case, these people have a patent of actions over a period of time that is the same everywhere they go.
