CharleyMike, et al. I have read the arguments as to why you folks need or want to know what Joe did. And I find them weak at best. However, I'm not here to judge them, but to provide some help.
Only three people can address the facts as to what Joe did and what he continues to do. One would be I, as I was the individual to whom he perpetrated said offense upon. Secondly, would of course be Joe, however, his voice with in this forum has been silenced. And thirdly is Matt, for I alerted him to and provided him with the evidence, where upon he quickly decided to terminate his account.
So here are the FACTS.
I stopped by the jailhouse on the evening of 10/02/02 and did a little reading. I read Joe's petition and submitted my 2 cents written to Joe, with sound in post 6180:
I submitted some more posts to Joe in response to his posts to me. See 6183, and 6196.
However, it appears Joe became agitated and since he knew he couldn't post what he really wanted to say, he decided instead to say it in an e-mail to me. The e-mail stated don't piss him off and threatened to hack into my computer. With in a few moments he did make an attempt to add my hotmail account to his buddy list, but I rebuked that effort. In my reply to Joe, I copied Matt. I give Matt credit because he acted quickly, and in my opinion correctly.
Now folks the story doesn't end there. Today I received another e-mail from him which states:
".... don't come over the RB, it won't be pretty."
And I am sure I haven't heard the last of this person.
I for one do not find it acceptable behavior to participate in a conversation on this site and then have someone take it so personal and make threats via e-mail and then follow that up with a harassing e-mail.
Now putting that aside for the moment. Let us look at this from Matt's perspective. He needs to think of the community at-large. People who post here and provide their e-mail address in their profile shouldn't have to expect that another poster, who differs in opinion will send either threatening or harassing e-mails or both. So Matt's job calls for him to not allow that, hence the action he took protects the community at-large.
I am sorry it happened, but life goes on, with or with out Joe. However, now with the facts at least each of you who read this can formulate your own opinion.
