We are already on the cusp of the technology to mechanically, biomechanically, and genetically enhance all living species. Th question is whether or not we will choose to do those things. Some of us will.

Fifty years ago, soothsayers and visionaries didn't know what it would take to do those things. Now we know, and now the time is another 50 years. Antigravity cars? Maybe, maybe not. Replacement bioparts, brain/mechanical interfaces, and genetically modified biosystems, we already got them.

Little machines that attract and destroy viruses? We got those too.
