I do NOT think that will always be so but comparing the Japanese forty-year (nationalistic)experience with what is going on in China today is a bit of a stretch. Japan never had to face major competitive entities other than us in those selective markets it chose to compete in.

China now is seeking to maintain its rate of growth without creating any dislocations or shortages in the world's marketplace. Whether they are going to be able to complete a forty-year ascent without encountering unforeseen head winds is doubtful.
