Why do you think that will always be so? The japanese made crappy products in the 60's and 70's. All the Made in Japan junk sold in stores. That's not true anymore. Look at the improvement in South Korean products in autos and electronics. They used to make junk too.

It just takes a little while to move up the food chain.
