You are obviously not into car technology. If you were you would know that Chineses automotive glass and AFTER-MARKET parts are inferior to our own and that the quality control mechanisms for China are not anywhere near that of Japan's.

FWIW, GM's new automotive technology (e.g. SST )is impressive and more importantly LEASING is NOW hurting Detroit more than any future China threat.

P.S. If everyone wanted to drive the cheapest car Lexus would be Chapter 11 by now.
