That's what I've found with most of them over 30lb, one big run and then they're done.

I had a 37.5lb a few years ago that took a huge run, took well over 400 yards of line out and I was getting close to the backing and didn't want that knot out there so had to chase him...but then he was done and it was like hauling in a log.
