Ahh.. the Friday before a holiday weekend! Happy Independence Day! However, we start out soggy today. Showers will continue at times today...decreasing by tonight with daytime highs in the cool mid 60s. Overnight, mostly cloudy skies prevail with low temperatures around the low 50s.

Tomorrow and Sunday (the 4th) features mild and partly sunny weather. Highs will be between 70 and 75 degrees. "Real" summer weather begins Monday..when highs head back to around 80. Current extended forecast models show a bubble of upper-level warm air rising up from the Desert Southwest and creating hot weather for the Pacific Northwest by midweek. Highs could hit 90 or above...starting Tuesday.
