The desktop market will continue to grow, but only at a rate that is projected to be 1/16th of the explosive growth predicted for tablets.
The profit for manufacturers will be in the explosive market, not in the saturated one.
The growth and profit in games is shifting toward the $1 to $10 portable device app and away from the much more expensive console and PC based games.
Again, the more complicated and immersive console/PC games aren't going away, but the explosive growth in profits will be in the sub $10 games.
