If not, then ask why didn't so many of these type of events happen in America 100 years ago?

Some of the things he describes didn't happen because we didn't have the technology that can cause nasty accidents.

And the rest of them DID happen. He must not know much about history. The U.S. was never more corrupt than it was in the late 19th century.

Oh yeah, and people back then didn't have CNN to make sure they knew about everything, important or not.
