Well said....that, and folks are so used to eating lots of seafood that comes cheaply and it isn't available (or I should say the supply is starting to dwindle). Some of the areas hit hardest by Katrina that were just getting back to normal now have this to deal with, and so many of those places are fishing, fishing, and more fishing (and SHRIMP) towns.
The beaches and tourism seem to be holding their own for now. I was just at Gulf Shores last weekend and it seemed as busy as usual. Could just be sightseers looking at the oil though -- not sure.
