Yeah, I'm saving pickle buckets at work. Figure me and about 3 friends could scoop up around $1,000 a day. I need the exercise and wouldn't have but a couple dollars at risk with a 5 gal bucket. Probably get some sort of tax credit on my health insurance for doing it too.
Agreed about the controllable shallow water stuff. If I'm gonna have a blowout on my car I'd like it to be while I'm heading up my driveway instead of 75 down the interstate. Every administration has their 15 minutes of fame except maybe the current one and BOs got a couple hours on the meter so far IMO.
It's really a mess on the coast, not only from the environmental side, but the economics of the situation have got to be quite punishing since not only do the fisherman not get to fish but their brothers, dads, and nephews don't get to work on the platforms either. Very tough situation to be in for a lot of families there.
the government cannot give anything to anyone -- that they have not first taken away from someone else.
