Once again, if I want to know the operational environment of a component I surely do not call GRUMMAN about a BENDIX component. Grumman does not do the engineering of the individual components in their aircraft, BENDIX does. In this case BEHL must rely upon the engineering at Shannon plastics, they stated 3 to 5 years life expectancy, BEHL curbed it to a conservative 2 years as a part of their preventative maintenance plan. Why is this difficult to understand? Seems like I should running your aircraft component company, at least I have 22 years experience in aircraft maintenance and an MBA to back up my level of experience.
