From the very beginning of the recession I've said I supported temporarily suspending the payroll tax for anyone earning less than $100,000 as a fair and equitable method to bring "liquidity" into the economy.


That would not create jobs. It gives more money back to people who are already employed, but does nothing for the unemployed, nor does it do anything for the employers to encourage more hiring.

It's ironic that you are complaining about the unemployment numbers, but still discouraging a jobs bill, while pumping your idea on another costly tax rebate - which of course still counts as deficit spending (again, something you're against).
