I don’t dispute that the flow rate is probably higher than 5K gallons/day; however, I take issue with the notion (apparently prevalent on this board) that BP’s estimate is automatically wrong because corporations are evil and they always lie. The truth, at this point, is that no one has an especially accurate method for measuring the flow rate.
