mschere: I scanned thru the summary notes on the 8-10 Dec 3gpp RAN confernce. Much too technical for me. The impression I got was that Super 3G was the Vodaphone concept for the future; however, it appeared to be only one of the areas under discussion. In this regard IP Wireless’s presentation (page 40) seemed to be pushing TD-CDMA, which is supposed to be an IDCC strongpoint. As to IDCC’s involvement with Super 3G, while two of the attendees at the conference were from IDCC, I don’t know if that proves IDCC is part of the initial group signed up with Vodaphone to develop a super 3g standard
