Wind : South at 10.4 MPH (9 KT) Humidity : 85 %

Weather Forecast
Wednesday, April 28th - 6:30am

I call Tuesday everything but the kitchen sink day. That's what we had in the weatherwise. Rain, sunbreaks, thunder, lightning and hail. Oh! I almost forgot snow at very low elevations. What's causing all this you ask? A trough of low pressure that has settled right over Oregon and Southwest Washington. The trough is pulling cold and wet air out of The Gulf of Alaska. Showers will taper off some tonight as the atmosphere cools. Afternoon heating on today will allow showers to intensify just like today.

The calendar might say it's almost May but snow in the Cascades will fall tonight and tomorrow. Snow levels will be down to the 2,500ft level. That means all mountain passes will be covered. Up to 8 inches of snow the next 24 hours. I feel I should be writing this update in early March. Temperatures will remain on the chilly side. Highs will barely reach the middle 50s with lows in the upper 30s and low 40s.

The good news is if my prognostic skills are correct, things will dry and warm by the weekend.

Tonights low 44

Wednesdays high 56

Regards

Dave
