VirTra Systems Completes High-Definition Camera System
February 27, 2004
ARLINGTON, TX - February 27, 2004 - VirTra Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: VTSI) today announced development and completion of the world's highest resolution 360-degree multi-camera system.
The new system captures more than 21 times the resolution of a standard camera, and permits VirTra Systems to deliver the highest-quality video content currently available in its markets.
"Video quality and the ability to visualize minute details at a distance are critical for force-option training scenarios. This first-of-its-kind system offers VirTra Systems a distinct competitive advantage," commented Bob Ferris, VirTra Systems' president. "Not only will high-definition resolution training scenarios greatly exceed the quality and performance currently available within the law enforcement training industry, the new camera system will also allow us to utilize high-definition technology in the advertising/promotional market as well."
The system utilizes multiple cameras arranged to create an entire video panorama. The system has a native resolution of 7,372,800 pixels, whereas a standard camera has approximately 345,600 pixels, producing a markedly superior picture.
All training content filmed with the new system will be in high-definition resolution, allowing VirTra Systems' new IVR™-HD training systems greater clarity and the ability to offer specialized scenarios such as low-light training.
VirTra Systems is currently utilizing the new camera system during filming of advanced training scenarios in Los Angeles.
