Biggest hurdle is the comparables...if the microwave water heater matches or exceeds the energy efficiency of electric & gas tankless, there will be nothing to stop it.

Huge contracts are already in place, PLUS microwave water heater should eliminate several of the negative aspects of other tankless models (i.e. noise, CO emission, cold spurts, and scale buildup just to name a few of the major ones!). In addition, it looks like they can be very reasonably priced with Wanderport basing all of their revenue figures on $450 per unit!!
