You expect us to take you seriously when you give us anecdotal information. First off illegals aren't covered under Medicaid. They may get emergency room care but they certainly aren't getting cancer treatment or open heart surgery or transplants or other very expensive treatments and Medicaid is not paying for it.

Oh and the reason why people come here to birth their children - if you are born here you automatically are a US Citizen no matter what your parent are. Many hospitals care for illegal’s and write it off and this bill, by enabling people to buy insurance (btw many illegal’s here also buy insurance) will make it easier for hospitals to get paid. I certainly hope one doesn't have to be a citizen to buy insurance.
