"If I were an insurance company I would start a new class of thirty day insurance policies."  No you wouldn't.  As Dew points out, you will be constrained in what policies you can issue (this time by the Federal government, whereas it used to be by the States).

You won't be forced to pay any bills, either.  Read the signs:  "This facility is required to provide care for all those needing it etc. etc. etc."  Let someone else pay!  Let the good times roll.  Medical providers almost never sue; the Federal government can't even collect its student loans (so naturally, is taking over that business), and often uses private collection agencies from which all meaningful powers have been stripped by Federal and State regulations to "protect" the "unfortunate".
