If the insurance companies can no longer engage in bona fide competition for client business, what is the benefit to society of the companies’ continued existence?



Not that I am anywhere close to being an expert on these but from an average consumer point of view, the whole insurance industry has been operating as a syndicated empire with very little to show any meaningful benefits in terms of cost to subscriber. Regardless of who one goes to enroll, the price keeps going up.
