Morning, Fred
Agree,
... is NOT important how many people READ a message
... it IS important how many people feel strongly enough
to MARK a message they think is valuable for others.
Also,
I wish to put together your thought above using your words
"strongly enough to MARK a message they think is valuable"
with

Something like that combined with my idea about a 'personal'
board showing a mix of people and boards into one [be] cool.
so
The curent Keep we all have with posts that are posted to us,
rather than extend that to Keep any posted message as Bob
mentioned it is a not-nice thing and angers the speed god,
lets use your words above and add to Keep a MARK option
that one can do on all posted message, and it will NOT go
to your personal MailBox since you have the Keep and Bob
would not rather extend the Keep to include all posts, let now
add the MARK to the Posted by: IH Admin (Matt) idea where
one can do a MARK on all posts and the post is appended to
that special read-only thread that holds MARK'ed posts
a.k.a. your "a reader identified a worthwhile message"
from all iHub members so that as Matt mentioned,
all IHub paying and FREE(?) members can sample
not only many boards, but the "best of" the board.
Guess we need Bob to let us know if a MARK done
by a member on all posts that results in it being attached
to a single board is ok v. an extended Keep.
My view is to have it like Matt mentioned, every board
will be represented so to be like an introduction to
the nature/flavor of that board from the post(s).
