hmmm, I'm still on the fence between buying socket 754 and 939. I've always thought a 754 system with DDR and a integrated memory controller would be tons faster than any system I've used that has SDRAM.

I'd be upset if I bought either socket and found out it was EOLed shortly afterward. Of course that attitude only counts if I'm going to upgrade the CPU down the road. If you are an end user that doesn't do the DIY stuff you really aren't losing out on anything if the board you use isn't the flavor of the week.
