What really burns me about HD is the perception that they are lower priced on everything. I am working at the store today. About an hour ago a lady came in (sent by her husband) to pick up a 5 pk of bi-metal recip blades. We were 14.99 for a 5 pk. She called her husband and he said they were half that at HD and she started to leave. I said "lady, there is no way that they are priced that low, let's call them. I hate for you to waste more time." I called them, gave the phone to her and placed the merchandise in her hand so she could describe it to get a 'apples to apples' comparison.

HD was $19.96 on the samething. That happens day after day here at the store. Occassionally they are cheaper on price sensitive items that keep the perception going.
