Good Evening MOOvers..yup, I'm still slacking on posting,
taking care
of decesed mom's affairs..taking care of banking things now..

I must take my 'frugality' after her..she didn't spend nothing much and banked/saved heavily...she had accounts, 2 IRA's,
credit union, CD's and stuff..you run into alot of paperwork
when people die..the banks EAGERLY take your money into savings,
etc. but it's like pulling teeth trying to cash stuff out.

Some checks, etc. come bearing 'To the Estate of the Deceased person and then you have to go to IRS. gov and get a EIN number and have an ESTATE account set up, so one can cash incoming proceeds. Just a bunch of crap, IMO...when a 'designated beneficary' is blatently noted.
This is the way it is in TN, may not be applicable in other states...dunno.

But it's going to be well worth my DD and computer expertise because my Dad is going to split ALL her holdings evenely with me and my sister...Dad is 'set' financially..
stock tradin' on back burner for now.

Working on getting being a 'Power of Attorney' for my elderly dad.

oh well..

Have a GREEN day tomorrow..have still some loose ends to tie up.

btw, full military funeral today at Chattanooga NATIONAL Cemetary (one of 4 in the US..Arlington being the most 'famous'. for my 91 year old Uncle, (Dad's brother)..so 3 brothers there now..
when it rains, it pours..a rough year so far...
