But I think something that is being overlooked is that the mmkrs are looking for volume.. That's the primary means by which they make their money...
So you have to lead them (and we're not talking "Kentucky Windage", though to some that thought might come to mind.. ;0)
No.. you need to send them a signal that volume lies at higher prices, not lower ones. So placing a Day order 20-50% higher than the current price (depending on how closely you're able to monitor trading) sends them a signal that's where they need to go if they want to generate volume.
And then, as the price approaches your stop, you adjust your sell price a bit higher. Tease them a bit...
But it's also going to take buying pressure. So if the demand for the stock isn't there, it's not going to work.
