haysaw, I'm not sure I understand your point?

One can focus on corrupt businessmen and doctors who were involved in these Oxycodone mills. Fine, I agree. But surely there is another point to be made. That point is the market that is being met.

Why does porn make so much money?
Why do these pain pill mills make a mint, are shut done, then sprout up down the road?

Because we, the American people, desire these products. Escapism, the economy, boredom, whatever.

In my experience, pill-poppers, those who love to get high, encompass every political, cultural, religious, sexual orientation one can imagine. Republicans, born-again Christians, neo-cons, Jews, Jew haters, blacks, KKK types... all want just a little increase in their monthly supply of Hydrocodone.

I typically refer the pill-popping types down the road to our local "pain clinic." Kind of a 21 century 'Potter Bar' from the movie 'It's a Wonderful Life' where, "we serve dope for folks who want to get high fast."

I note that many of these pain clinics have proud, American logos on their offices like "American Pain Clinic" with the backdrop of the American Flag or soaring eagle. In my red neck of the woods, many of these pain docts hail from Pakistan, Iran, or maybe Dubai. Perhaps this is a form of enslaving the dopamine pleasure centers of the red state's minds to a foreign agenda? LOL.

Build it and they will come: the story is not a few mom-and-pop pain centers making a killing; the story is our insatiable appetite to get high.
