SEC Charges Eleven in Stock Manipulation Ring

I don't think Bill Panetta's offense was part of the conspiracy and he is not charged with that. He is charged with lying to a Grand Jury, if I am not mistaken, and I think most likely he had guilty knowledge but did not want to fink on his friends, or was pursuaded not to by said 'friends' in hopes they could all get off unscathed, and that's the sum of his involvement. He was also indicted separately, not lumped in with the conspiracy group. I could be wrong, but that's my take on the situation. Purjury is bad, but not as bad as the conspiracy charges, so if they made guilty pleas and coughed up eveything they knew in exchange for lighter treatment, I do not see Omnitrader getting a worse deal.
