Thats why when a stock bounces down close to the 200 that buyers often come in AS LONG as the 50 is above the 200----because recent buying activity is higher than long term averags it still generally indicates a bullish trend. "A rising stock has a rising 50 day moving average (DMA) above a rising 200 day moving average "...the weakest signal we have is that the 50 is kinda flat---need to get that baby rising again.
