and I download the latest BIOS file how do I install it without being able to launch windows?
Alternatively I could download:
BIOS-Utilities (1)
which is their AFUDOS utility which requires me to boot the system in DOS but I don't know how to do that either! When I select it to boot with command prompt it stalls after the files are loaded and returns to window to select how it should boot up.

I have a very old windows xp disk but I really don't want to use it as it will install IE 6 which requires me to manually uninstall all the IE 8 & 7 updates and files before it will register with MS. I fear using it will only compound my problems!
