Does Casper correct the drive signature?

With Windows XP, the machine will use the replacement drive as if it were the original.

With Vista and Windows 7, the drive signature is checked during boot. If they don't match, you'll get an error message instead of booting.

I understand some imaging software fixes this, and some doesn't.

Either way, any backup is better than none.

P.S. I use Acronis True Image Home (11) and my cloned drives won't boot.
