Is this the same machine that had the reported problem previously and still booted?

I asked previously if the 'no hard drive detected' was for the other adapter connections or if it was seen on all connections.
I didn't see a response to that question. More info is needed to ascertain if the problem is the drive or just a configuration issue or possibly corrupt drive.

When the computer boots and the BIOS messages are enabled you should see the enumeration of the attached drives. If a connector has nothing attached it will report no hard drive found on that connection. If it is reporting no hard drive found on all of them and still boots then there is a BIOS issue. If it does not complete POST (power on self test) in the BIOS and will not start to boot from the drive then more than likely something has happened to the hard drive and a replacement should be sought.
