Re Nat Gas Act....

I expect the Nat Gas Act, or some similar legislative encouragement for vehicular use of compressed natural gas (cng), to be enacted sometime soon... maybe by Memorial Day, although that sounds optimistic.

For those interested, I’ve posted on the Fuel System Solutions Board links to the three primary bills being considered regarding encouragement of vehicular conversion to cng (#msg-45829669).

I suspect Fuel System Solutions (FSYS) and Westport Innovations (WPRT) will be two stocks positively impacted by the Nat Gas Act, and the public focus on this alternative fuel for industrial vehicles and commercial fleets (taxis etc). I have begun to establish a position in FSYS because its financial position is better than that of WPRT. Albeit, WPRT will be the most directly impacted by the Nat Gas Act..... WPRT focuses upon compressed natural gas (CNG) driven trucks and buses; FSYS focuses upon CNG driven cars and small industrial vehicles (forklifts, etc).... Cummins (CMI) builds the WPRT engines and will benefit, but it is a bigger company and the impact of the CNG initiatives will not be as significant in my opinion.
