My wife and I just had a baby in August, and during the 9 months of pregnancy, we got about 20-30 brochures about saving our cord blood. In the end we determined that $3000 was too much money, considering that it's not really known how long cord blood is good for. I think it'll eventually catch on once they lower the cost and have more knowledge about cord blood.
