I hope the repubs continue with follow your tired approach of being big on accusations and foot dragging and small on solutions and you will get creamed again in 2010.
The cynical "Just say no" and "Hope he fails" mantras and the politics of the "big lie" and mis-information will catch up with the repubs, as the electorate remembers that is was just these tired, no solutions/no ideas leadership of tax breaks for the wealthy and poor oversight/anything goes economic policies that got us into this mess.
President Obama's superior handling of the two wars, one mis-managed and the other based on lies is becoming more evident everyday; similarly the return of standing for our ideals and the respect for human rights is gaining traction in the international community. The indefensible policies of Bush/Cheney in managing the so-called "war on terror" were not only ill-advised, they were despicable, and this will not be lost on the electorate.
Yeah, I hope the repubs get the "big head" from this election for "one" seat in the Senate as some sort of mandate to keep up their politics of cynicism because it will bite them in the ass. Imo the media and repubs in general are mis-reading this election... overlooking the fact that the Dems put up a weak candidate with a poorly run campaign. Sure, they took the seat for granted and got beat, but I wouldn't do too much chest pounding if I were you.
Don't worry about your usual spinning my words or putting other words in my mouth because I have only 3 posts per day and I would rather use them in more meaningful ways than a useless debate with you. Getting back full posting privileges would require a mea culpa to Matt, and since I was right in the dispute with the moderator on another board I will not do that.
Later and Best, bulldzr
