Yes, you are right, I like your post very much. Especially the bottom line segment. I think your one in a thousand estimate may be off by several orders of magnitude, but that is just a quibble. To me, the seeking of public office and the power that goes with it is, and should be, a huge red flag of danger and warning. Obviously, the world does not share my view.

I appreciate the thoughtfullness and obvious effort that you put into your answer. If there were many more who thought like you do, in the world, I believe the world would be much closer to my definition of "sane". However, we have and are. what we have and are.
