tenac,
Thank you for your reply and the heart felt answer you gave. I used to be a "christian" in the biblical sense of the word and thought the bible to be the "end all" when it came to 'gods word'. I prayed long and earnestly to god and ask that god show me the 'truth'. I soon found out that there is much more to god than the bible and that christianity, along with every religion, confines an 'all knowing god', to a book. So I did as the bible told me in 1 Thessalonians 5:21 to "Test EVERYTHING. Hold on to the good."
There are many writings of Jesus that were purposely left out of the 'bible'. You are a 'bible believing christian', which leads me to believe you think my faith in god is 'less than' your belief in the same god. Many religions believe in a "god", yet christianity seems to arrogantly believe that gods love is 'conditional', meaning, if you dont believe in god as the bible says, then you will go to hell. My question is this....."
If your child, when he or she came to the age of understanding, denounced you as their father, would you dam them to hell and never forgive them and banish them to a eternal life to pain and suffering with no hope of forgiveness?
