roguedolphin: I couldn't agree more with Slider. As for the smaller depositors getting booted from HSBC, doesn't the small guy always get it in the end?

I hope that there are lawsuits, but I doubt that lawsuits would matter to HSBC. Wonder how much they are going to charge the big clients to store their metal?

I have been ruminating for about a week on the impending erosion of my assets from the dual edged sword of inflation and higher taxes.

IMO, we are going to have to achieve an annual return of 50 percent or more on our assets just to stay even.

Slider says a 50 percent $ devaluation over 10-15 years? How about over 5 years. IMO he is far too optimistic.
