Wrong. A company should not need such a large A/S if they weren't intending on blowing up the O/S. A/S, while doesn't indicate outstanding shares, does matter as it basically says there is no limit on the shares DM can distribute. 100 billion A/S is never a good thing for shareholders becuase enhances the risk for current shareholders. It should never be needed by any company. If tbe O/S is only 20 billion or so, the company could do wonders for it's credibility if it decreased the A/S to 50 billion, but this won't happen because I believe DM is intending on getting pretty close to that 100 billion and R/S.
