Ditto le-bon - excellent post - a clear indication that industry has been and continues getting prepared for a monumental transition in the way the world does business. The possibilities and applications are truly mind boggling.

Just the other day, I found a bar code on our company's invoices. It looked like a datamatrix code, but it was slightly smaller than 1cm square in size. (very small)

I made inquiries and was advised that the code is utilized by the agency that manages our invoices, and the codes are utilized by their automated process to identify which invoices should include which inserts, notice, flyers, etc.

Granted, I presumed this to be a direct method, but that is also when I realized, like the 'world wide web', the possibilities of connectivity are only limited by imagination.

Truly mind boggling (to me)
