The one with the star is your Favorites toolbar. I'm not sure why you can't hide it. In one of those drop down menus I listed there should be a place to undo the check mark for it.

If it's more space you're looking for you could always just hit F11 and go to full screen.

"Sort of" is such a harmless thing to say. "Sort of". It's just a filler. "Sort of" - It doesn't really mean anything. But after certain things, "sort of" means everything. Like after "I love you" or "You're going to live" or "It's a boy".
