sOb, my guess is that the two systems approach was hatched because Bob Z. had a little too much time on his hands and he also had some kind of fantasy or vision thing about what a board should look like. But, as the work progressed he realised that Matt had it right all along, but now he got too much time into this thing to give up just yet.
