Re Indy: The CA Energy Crisis.

"But anyone who thinks that all of those generating stations were pulled off line for routine maintainence at the same time is just plain gullible."

I never heard this excuse. The recent shutdowns have been publicized as near-bankruptcies by the power companies. They are all either in shambles or have moved out of the state.

"If we were in such a big energy crisis in the last year how come Exxon Mobile paid diluted dividends of 77 cents per share 4th quarter 99 and 4th quarter 00 they paid $1.43? Cause they are charging to freaking much money for thier products and price fixing. Natural Gas shortage my donkeys ass."

The California electricity crisis and the national gas crisis are not quite related. I definitely do not think the California energy crisis had anything to do with excessive profits or price gouging. Just the opposite.
