Re Spallz: The CA Energy Crisis.

I agree CA needs to tell the envionmental extremist that we have to either build more generating facilities or suffer shortages. Many of the CA plants were built in the Korean war era and have since converted to Natural gas fuel. They need nuke power. I think we had a conversation about the whole Mohave desert as a potential safe site.

I also agree that it is just stupid to deregulate the wholesalers and put a cap on retailers. But anyone who thinks that all of those generating stations were pulled off line for routine maintainence at the same time is just plain gullible.

If we were in such a big energy crisis in the last year how come Exxon Mobile paid diluted dividends of 77 cents per share 4th quarter 99 and 4th quarter 00 they paid $1.43? Cause they are charging to freaking much money for thier products and price fixing. Natural Gas shortage my donkeys ass.
