When I was living in Sydney, back before the 2000 Olympics, it was not uncommon for many of the private schools to charge between $20-25,000 in tuition.

I met one poor fella who had 3 daughters going to the same school. Though they gave him a $5,000 discount for each additional child after the first one, I thought $65,000/year for educating 3 girls was a stretch in more than one way.
