Barge, Wave was talking about these concepts well over two 1/2 years ago. Wave envisioned everything being a trusted device and have the ability to be authenticated, make sure it is not spoofed, protect content, decrypt it, and make sure that no where in the content flow is anything in the clear. They envisioned content being brought in under a global key, than when it is stored, it would be stored under a local key and the content would be locked into what Wave was calling the users "trust domain".

Wave has expertise in this area and a relationship with ST.
