SUKHUMI. Sept 10 (Interfax-South) - Special units from the Abkhaz State Security Service have begun a search for Georgian saboteurs allegedly spotted in the region. "Georgian sabotage groups, who entered Abkhazia from Georgia, were spotted near these villages. According to our information, the objective of these sabotage groups is to destabilize the situation in Abkhazia in the run-up to the republic's presidential elections," Tarba said.
Tarba said on Thursday that "steps are being taken to increase the security of candidates for president of the republic" since these people are in danger.
