fwiw, MM signals was lore of the 90s. I believe it was true originally, but once everyone had real-time L2/TS and were talking about it, the game changed.
imo, First stage was MMs posting false signals, knowing retailers (we) were watching and would interpret them as they intended. Next phase was retailers posting trades in these signal lots in their own attempts at manipulation.
At this point, I usually pay more attention to 100-5000 share paints than signal-esque trades.
fwiw, Below are the old-school signal interpretations. If you believe them and that the 911s are being printed by a real player, then we're near ready to run.
Then consider that some people might want us to think exactly that, and we're pretty primed to believe it.
------ ------ ------ ------ ------
MM Signals (true or false?)......
a-Signals between MMs...
100 > I need shares
200 > I need shares badly but dont take it down to get em
300 > Take the price down to get shares....
400 > Trade it sideways based on Supply and Demand
500 > Gap one way or the other, usually to the direction
of the 500 trade. Sometimes -if in the middle -keep the price right where it is.
777 -- ??? Jackpot? Want to start run? Big order to fill?
911 -- ??? Help? Induce panic? Pay attention?
911 shrs ... this is an MM signal which means pattern reversal is imminent ... MM's used this same signal for PTSC, PAIV, & PAIM prior to the their explosive runs
99.99% of all pinks are scams. Best to assume the other 0.01% are as well.
