carolina - You just asked the million-dollar question - what to scan for and which ones to trade. To begin with, we are relatively new to TraderBot so we don't have all the answers.
Do we trade or test different scans? Yes, but we would like to shorten the learning curve as much as possible by applying more brainpower - like yours - everyone is welcome.
We began this board with those thoughts in mind. We hope to interest BOT users who want to swap, test, and discuss different scans. The goal...to come up with killer realtime, tested scans.
Everything is up for discussion. For example:
- what setups are we looking for?
- what's the best time of day for scans?
- is it better to only monitor stocks picked the night before?
- should we only trade scalps or longer?
- should price be trading above 5dma?
- what's the trigger to get in
- what affect does the daily pattern have on the trade
- on and on...
Anything we can think of should be on that list - and the list eventually tattooed on our brains. lol
BOT will take a fair amount of time to master, though you can jump right in with their predefined scans or one of your own ideas.
Got to go out for a while. Will pick this up later (which brings up a final thought)... We all have busy schedules and it's tough to go it alone when learning something new. Sometimes ya just don't feel like checking out another scan. We've all been there. That's where I feel this board can help.
When some of us temporarily run out of gas, the others pick it up and move it forward.
